Hello to everybody here…today, I come with some English proverbs that I tried to translated to French …I hope that the translation will be good … and I hope to read it…
- Long absent, soon forgotten
Qui s’absente, se fait oublier.
- Strech your arm no farther than your sleeve.
N’allonge pas ton bras au delà de ta manche.
- Assiduity makes all things easy
L’habitude rend tout facile.
- Where bees are, there will be honey.
Où il y a des abeilles, Il y aura du miel.
- A good beginning makes a good ending
Bien commencer, Amène à bien terminer.
- Every bean has its black
Toute fève a son point noir.
- Fast bind, fast find
Male fermé, male gardé.
- Don’t bark, if you can’t bite
Si tu ne peux mordre, ne montre pas tes dents.
- A book borrowed is sooner read then a book bought
Livre emprunté, se lit plus vite que livre acheté.
- When everyone takes care of himself, the care is taken for all
Quand chacun se mélera de ses affaires, toutes seront bien soignées.
- Confession of fault, is half amended
Faute avouée est à moitié pardonnée.
- First deserve, and then desire
Mérite d’abord et puis demande.
- Experience is the mistress of fools
Tête légère n’apprend rien que par expérience.
